Florence married Ervin Miller on June 10, 1941 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Beaulieu, Minn. Following their union the couple farmed on several places northeast of Mahnomen, before purchasing a farm east of Beaulieu. They would spend the next 40 years on that farm where they raised their own family. In addition to tending to the children and helping Ervin with the chores, Florence also worked at the sewing factory from 1970-75. In the late 1980s, they retired from the farm and moved into their home in Mahnomen.

Ervin died on Sept. 25, 2003 and Florence continued to live in town.

Florence was a very generous and giving person and always placed others before herself. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and making quilts.
