Florence Anna Tjepkes, 84, of Blackduck, died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2008, at The Good Samaritan Center in Blackduck.
A celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Evangelical Free Church in Blackduck with the Rev. Raymond Klug and the Rev. Max Cheney officiating. A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. today at Cease Family Funeral Home in Blackduck, with a prayer service beginning at 7:30 p.m., and one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Blackduck.
Pallbearers will be Derrick Tjepkes, Craig Tjepkes, Paul Tjepkes, Dean Tjepkes, Adam Bryan, Ryan Tjepkes and Luke Krabbenhoft.
Honorary pallbearers will be all of her beloved extended family and friends.
She was born on Jan. 22, 1924, to George and Amber (McNeilly) Gross in Osceola, Wis.
She married Martin Tjepkes on Dec. 24, 1941, in Worthington, Minn. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of Blackduck; sons, Dennis (Judy) Tjepkes of Blackduck, Douglas (Georgia) Tjepkes of Minneapolis, Gary (Kathy) Tjepkes of Hines, Richard (Debbie) Tjepkes of Blackduck, Wayne (Charlene) Tjepkes of Detroit Lakes, Brian (Tina) Tjepkes of Bemidji and Randall (Pamela) Tjepkes of Blackduck; daughters, Connie Adair of Otterville, Mo., Diana Armes of Blackduck, Faye (Jeff) Lohman of Indian Wells, Calif., Donna (Carl) Wright of Chandler, Ariz., Becky Bryan of Schererville, Ind., and Elizabeth (James) Krabbenhoft of Blackduck; 25 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson.
