First-time children's book author to do signing Saturday

First time children's writer Louane Beyer is shown with granddaughter Alli Beyer, one of the three grandchildren who convinced her to write a book. Alli of Bemidji and cousins Abby and Adam of Duluth contributed to "Six Days Inside a Mountain," the first installment on a forthcoming series of books for grade school students. "I feel fortunate to have had this opportunity to share this experience with my grandchildren and am optimistic that the book will provide readers with a captivating story that they will enjoy reading as much as I enjoyed writing it," said Beyer, who will have a book signing event from 1-3 p.m. Saturday at Book World in Bemidji.
