First signs of snow in weekend forecast
BEMIDJI — The first snowflakes of the season could fall in the region later tonight or Saturday.
According to the National Weather Service office in Grand Forks, N.D., a chance of rain and snow showers could fall between 1 and 4 a.m. Saturday, with precipitation changing to snow after 4 a.m. Saturday’s low will be 31 degrees, the weather service said. Little or no snow accumulation is expected, however, the weather service said.
A 30 percent chance of precipitation is expected Saturday with possible snow showers before 10 a.m. and a slight chance of rain and snow between 10 p.m. and Sunday.
Snow is likely before 1 p.m. Sunday, with a 60 percent chance of precipitation and a low temperature about 28 degrees.
