Fire destroys outbuilding, chicken coop in Nevis

NEVIS -- Nevis and Park Rapids firefighters battled a blaze northwest of Nevis Friday afternoon that claimed a chicken coop and an outbuilding.

The fire began around 1 p.m. The cause is under investigation.

Nevis, because it involved a structure, routinely calls in mutual aid from Park Rapids, and vice versa.

The home off 236th Street, belongs to Robert Biermeier.
