Twenty firefighters responded with two fire engines and two water tankers, using about 15,000 gallons of water with the Deer Lake fire hydrant as a water-supply source. They remained on scene about three hours.

No one was injured in the fire. The shop and its contents are total losses. No damage estimation was given.
