Fire damages house in Turtle River Township
A fire reported at a Turtle River Township home caused about $110,000 worth of damage to the residence and its contents Monday afternoon.
According to a press release from the Bemidji Fire Department:
The fire was reported at 2:30 p.m. on the 12000 block of Mek In Nok Court Northeast by the home's owner. Bemidji firefighters responded and found smoke and flames at the residence.
No one was injured.
Twenty firefighters responded with one fire engine and three tankers. They were one scene about three hours.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Bemidji Fire Department. However, no foul play is suspected and it appears to be accidental in nature.
Assisting at the scene were the Beltrami County Sheriff's Office, Minnesota State Fire Marshall's Office and Bemidji Ambulance Service.
