FEMA official announces Beltrami County assistance figures

Ed Edahl, public information officer for the Federal Emergency Management Agency, reported the following flood assistance for Beltrami County.

E Registrations - 46

E Individual Assistance Money for housing assistance - $74,981.14 to repair and replace damaged housing, including structural elements, utilities, heating and ventilation, and to rent temporary housing while repairs are made.

E For other needs assistance - $1,561.67 to repair or replace damaged personal property not covered by insurance. This can include tools for work, clothing, primary transportation, medical and dental expenses as well as funeral and burial expenses.

E Total - $76,542.81

Public Assistance money obligated as of June 13 - $67,227.

The Disaster Recovery Centers have all closed, but help is still available to registered applicants through 800-621-FEMA or online at disasterassistance.com. here are also many local and volunteer agencies. Applicants can check the status of their claims by calling the 800 number or by using the FEMA Web site.
