Fargo man killed in collision with truck near St. Cloud

ST. CLOUD, Minn. – One Fargo man was killed and another injured in a car crash on Interstate 94 near here Monday afternoon.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, an eastbound tractor-trailer jackknifed across the median of I-94 and the tractor part of the semi came to rest in the left lane of westbound interstate, just before 3 p.m. The driver of a car heading west was in the left lane tried to avoid the semi but went into a slide. The driver’s side of the car hit the truck.

The driver of the car, Terrance Cusick, 52, of Fargo, was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger, Toby Cusick, 43, also of Fargo was taken to a St. Cloud Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the semi, 67-year-old James Hall of Northfield, Minn., was not injured.

The state patrol described the road conditions as  at the time of the crash. All three men were wearing seat belts.
