Police responded to a call shortly after 1 a.m. Friday about an intoxicated 18-year-old last seen on foot, said Sgt. Mark Lykken. Police searching for him found him about 20 minutes later after receiving a report of a male banging on the doors of a church.

Police arrived to find Eichel-berger suffering from exposure to the cold. He was transported to Innovis Hospital and then to Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, where he was listed in serious condi-tion as of about 10:30 a.m. today, according to hospital spokeswoman Kathy Roberts.

Alcohol appears to have been a factor in the incident, Lykken said.
