Exposure that BSU received in D.C. was priceless
I just returned from the Frozen Four men's Division I ice hockey tournament held in Washington, D.C., on April 9 -11.
I couldn't be more proud of the Bemidji State University's men's hockey team and what they have accomplished this year.
Over 2,000 fans came from the Bemidji area including a busload of 51 of us who rode a charter bus 28 hours to cheer on the hockey team. Even though BSU lost the game to Miami of Ohio, they are still champions to all of us and the trip was well worth it.
Everywhere you went in D.C. (The Mall, trolley, bus, walking the streets to name a few) people were talking about Bemidji State University (how do you say the name and where is it?) and saying that they were cheering for us. Some in our group wore our BSU clothing.
The exposure we received from people and sports fans across the country in D.C. was priceless.
Again, congratulations to the BSU's men's hockey team. Everyone is very proud of the Beavers -- go Beavers!
