According to the state Department of Transportation, the project includes replacing culverts, resurfacing a portion of Highway 6 north of the junction with Highway 1 and completing major construction in Effie.

Work is scheduled to begin July 10 in Effie and it will require a parking ban and closures on intersecting streets.

The work in Effie will be complete by mid-September and the overall project will be complete by early November, weather permitting.

Motorists should slow down in all work zones, allow extra time for delays, be alert to flaggers and signing information and watch for workers and heavy equipment.
