Ex-fire chief accused of threats pleads guilty to disorderly conduct
MOORHEAD — The former Dilworth fire chief has pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct in connection with accusations that he threatened to burn down the homes of fire officials.
Kurt Kennedy, 49, pleaded guilty Tuesday in Clay County District Court to one count of misdemeanor disorderly conduct.
Another charge against Kennedy, of making felony terrorist threats, was dismissed.
Court documents say Kennedy said he wanted to burn down fire officials’ homes, and also threatened to seek “revenge” on other city officials.
According to court documents, Kennedy told police he doesn’t remember making those threats.
His sentencing is set for May 19.
