'An Evening with Billy Collins' set for tonight

Bemidji poet Marsh Muirhead visits with former U.S. Poet Laureate Billy Collins Friday evening at a welcome reception at Sparkling Waters. Collins will present "An Evening with Billy Collins" tonight at 7:30 at the Bemidji High School Auditorium. Muirhead is in charge of the event. Tickets, $20 for the general public and $10 for students, are at Headwaters School and Lueken's Village Foods North. The performance will be followed by a reception for ticketholders at Headwaters School. Also today, Collins will lead a free discussion of poetry at 10 a.m. at the Chief Theatre and sign books from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at Book World. Pioneer Photo/Laurie Swenson
