Evelyn Olga Milanowski
Evelyn Olga Milanowski, 83 of Bemidji, MN died peacefully at her home following some health complications Sunday, May 12, 2013 at her home. Evelyn had a lot of family members, caring and loving her during her final journey. Also loving and caring people at hospice.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji with Rev. Arlo Feiock officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji and one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Bemidji, MN.
She was born May 15, 1929 to Olaf and Ingeberg Glomstad in Cass Lake, MN. She spent her youth in several foster homes and also with an aunt and uncle in Britton, SD. She left high school and her first job was the Munsingwear Company in Bemidji. She then went to work and live in Chicago, IL. There she worked at the Harrison Candy Factory. She also worked at Monarch Finer Foods. It was there she met her husband of 58 years, Jerry. They married and had 3 children. In 1960, they bought a small farm in Guthrie, MN where they lived for 17 years. They then moved to Bemidji, MN. She enjoyed gardening, farming, nature and spending time with family.
She is survived by her daughter: Sharon (Dave) Vick; Son: Gerald Milanowski; son-in-law: William Juenke; Grandchildren: Amy (Greg) Naughton, Randy Hayes, Melinda Pel, Jennifer (Dale) DeWitt, Angela Hayes, Therese Juenke, Tracy Juenke, Emily Juenke, Rose Juenke and Elizabeth Vick; great grandchildren: Rachel, Noah and Caleb Pel, MaKayla Juenke and Reilly Naughton; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Jerry, sister Audrey and daughter Donna.
