Ernest V. Hartman, 68, of St. Paul, Minn., formerly of Bemidji, died of cancer Monday, March 2, 2009, at his home.
A funeral service was held March 7 at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in St. Paul. Burial was in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Maplewood, Minn.
He was born Sept. 2, 1940, to Emma and Andrew Hartman in Bemidji. He lived in Pennington and Bemidji until the age of 18. He moved to St. Paul where he met and married Dorothy Carlson in October 1959. He was a hard-working man who enjoyed his family.
He is survived by his wife; daughters, Cindy (Dean) Heininger, Tammy (Larry) Moen and Tracy (Don) Raway; three grandchildren; brothers, John (Marian) Hartman of Brainerd, Severt (Roxanne) Weme of St. Paul; sisters, Emma Dammer of Cottage Grove, Minn., and Gloria (Bob) Aylesworth of Bemidji.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, James and Andrew Hartman and sisters, Caroline Dolson, Connie Nelson and Gladys Dammer.
