End of a great run: Miami tops Beavers 4-1 in national semifinal
The magical ride of the Bemidji State men's hockey team through the NCAA Tournament is over.
Miami University defeated the Beavers 4-1 in the first semifinal of the NCAA Frozen Four Thursday at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C. The loss brought to an end an historic ride for Bemidji State, which was the first No. 16 seed to reach the Frozen Four. It also marked the first time a team outside of the "Big Four" conferences had made it to Frozen Four.
