She was born at a “midwife’s home” in Bemidji to Ernest and Hilma Norberg, November 1, 1921. She grew up on her parent’s farm, and attended grade school at Pleasant Valley School and graduated from Bemidji High School in 1939. She attended Northern Business College in Bemidji for one year, and worked at both the Gamble Hardware and Given Hardware stores a few years before going to Santa Monica, CA to work in the Douglas Aircraft plant during World War II, and until it ended. Then back to Duluth for the next 30 years. She loved musical instruments, and at an early age, ordered her first guitar from Sears order Co. for $6.25 and in 2001 her great nephew, Chris Taunt built a very nice guitar and gave it to her. She enjoyed playing it at GoldPine Home, where she has lived since 2010 and in the “Golden Bells” group and playing guitar at their choir. She loved the Lord ad her bible and her last many years of life she attended Faith Baptist Church, and enjoyed a very friendly group of people and Pastor Claypool. She lived at Red Pine Estates for 28 years and the last 3 years at GoldPine Home where she met Pastor Tim and enjoyed both places.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews, and a special thank you to nieces, Lil Bliss, Dody Henson and Terri Lynn Beffa, who cared for her and stood by her in later years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 6 sisters; 5 brothers, 2 sisters-in-law and many cousins in Pitea, Sweden.
