Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 20, 2014 at Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home, Bemidji with Pastor Kent Dudley officiating. Family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Inurnment will be in Kingo Cemetery, Fosston at a later date.

Eleanor was born and raised in Fosston on September 27, 1939 to Oscar and Linnea Ostrom. She graduated from Fosston High School in 1957. She married Robert Holum that same year on august 26. Shortly thereafter they moved to Bemidji where she would live the rest of her life and raise 3 children. Bob and Ellie celebrated their 50 year wedding anniversary before he passed December 2007. Eleanor and bob spent many days together fishing the lakes of Northern Minnesota in their boat named "Ellie". Ellie worked at various restaurants and dining rooms in Bemidji. She would greet everyone with a smile and hug as if they were her best friend. Her work ethic was legendary. She loved life, her family and friends. She took great delight in her flowers, playing Bingo and a day at the casino with her family. Ellie loved to laugh and her laughter was infectious. She could crack anyone up with her one-liners. She will be sadly missed by her family and everyone that met her and she touched.

She is survived by her daughter, Robin Worman of Cathedral City, CA; her son, Tom Holum of Bemidji; grandchildren, Jenny Norwick, Kristine Norwick, Jessica Norwick, Cody Holum, Nick Worman and Chelsea Worman; great-grandchildren, Blake Benjamin and Kayden Worman; brother, Glen Ostrom and his wife, Carolyn of Lengby, MN; sister-in-law, Linda Ostrom of Clearbrook; nieces and nephews and her loving dog Abby who was her constant companion and always by her side.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; son, Marlon; brothers, Orville, Oscar Jr. and Lynn.
