Eelpout Festival begins in Walker

Walker is going forward with its 33rd annual International Eelpout Festival, despite restrictions on large vehicles being driven on the ice put in place recently by the Cass County Sheriff's department.

The festival's opening ceremonies begin at 7 tonight in Walker City Park, with the festivities running through Sunday. Activities during the festival include the UV Party Parade, the Polar Pout Plunge and live music performances at Chase on the Lake in Walker.
