Early evening tornado reported northwest of Bemidji

(AP) -- A line of powerful thunderstorms moved through northern Minnesota, prompting reports of tornados and leaving behind downed trees and utility poles.

However, there were no immediate reports of major structure damage or injuries.

Two officials with the Beltrami Emergency Manager Department spotted one tornado with three funnels in a rural area northwest of Bemidji about 5:45 p.m.

The National Weather Service issued numerous several weather warnings throughout the night.
