First responders were unable to revive the 25-year-old Duluth man, who died at the scene on a road northwest of Duluth on Sunday afternoon. His name has not been released.

The St. Louis County Sheriff's department is investigating. The sheriff's office says indications at the scene are that speed and alcohol may have contributed to the accident.

A snowmobiler who was traveling with the victim was not injured, and nobody in the car was hurt.
