WALKER – Two men face drug charges after a traffic stop Sunday in Cass County.

Cass County Sheriff Tom Burch said a deputy initiated a stop on a vehicle northbound on Minnesota Highway 64.

After a short pursuit, authorities stopped the vehicle near County Road 20 in Ansel Township.

The driver, Kevin McGuinness, 30, of Minneapolis and the passenger, Crystal Hill, 31, of St Paul were arrested on outstanding warrants, Burch said.

The sheriff said an inventory search of the vehicle turned up drug paraphernalia. The vehicle was seized and after obtaining a search warrant, deputies found about 20 grams of meth, a small amount of suspected heroin and prescription drugs. One of the men also had “a large amount of cash,” Burch said in a news release.

The investigation is continuing and formal charges are pending.
