Donna Krogseng, 69, of Kelliher, died Friday, May 1, 2009, at North Country Regional Hospital in Bemidji.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Kelliher, with the Rev. Ed Anderson officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in the Tolgen Cemetery in Saum, Minn.
The Cease Family Funeral Home of Blackduck assisted the family with arrangements.
The pallbearers will be Ronald Adams, Peter Halvarson, Wade Renemo, Brian Bursey, Richard Florhaug and Donald Houchin.
She was born Sept. 17, 1939, to Donald and Alice (Adams) Houchin in Kelliher. She graduated from Kelliher High School in 1958. She married Alan Krogseng Sept. 20, 1958.
They lived in Saum for seven years. They moved to Montana, where the lived for three years. They returned to Kelliher in 1968. She worked at the Kelliher School District, as a custodian, retiring in 2001, after more than 20 years of service. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and was active in the church. She was a member of the VFW Post No. 7052 and the Shooks Homemakers. She enjoyed bowling, sewing, playing cards, gardening and flowers. She also made cakes and buns for all occasions.
She is survived by her husband, Alan Krogseng of Kelliher; daughter, Lee Ann Krogseng of Kelliher; sons, Kendall (Melissa) Krogseng of Glyndon, Minn., and Doug (Tana) Krogseng of Bemidji; eight grandchildren; sister, Marie Hudec of Waskish; brothers, Leroy Houchin of Buffalo, Minn., Wilford (Sue) Houchin of Sigurd, Utah, Allen (Caroline) Houchin of Kelliher, Donley (Dalene) of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Arlen Houchin of Waskish.
She was preceded in death by her parents and triplet granddaughters.
