Dolores M. "Bodie" Geer, 80, of Detroit Lakes, died Sunday, June 1, 2008 at her home.

Dolores Mary Boedigheimer was born to Hugo and Josephine (Krueger) Boedigheimer on Feb. 26, 1928 in Perham, where she was raised and educated. She graduated from Perham High School in 1946.

Prior to her marriage, Dolores was a telephone operator at Tacoma, Wash., and Detroit Lakes. She married Lennis Geer June 1, 1950 in Perham. They made their home in Detroit Lakes, where they raised their family. Dolores worked in Detroit Lakes as a telephone operator and later worked for the Driver's License Office as an examiner and motor vehicle clerk from 1976 to 1993. Lennis died in 1999.

Dolores was a member of the Catholic Daughters, Christian Mothers and the Catholic Order of Foresters. She enjoyed fishing, crocheting, dancing, being active in Holy Rosary Church and going to the casino with siblings and friends.

Dolores is survived by five daughters, Pam (Robert) Sand of Dilworth, Minn., Jennifer (Paul) Brinkman of Carlos, Minn., Charlene (Steven) Fog of Perham, Terri (Tim) Green of Detroit Lakes and Claudette (Brent) Geer-Gustafson of West Fargo; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Lorraine (Steven) White of Eagan, Minn., and Luella Bodigheimer of St. Paul; as well as one brother, Louis Boedigheimer of St. Paul. She was preceded in death by her husband and one brother, Leonard.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday, June 6 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Detroit Lakes. There will be a Catholic Daughters Rosary at 7 p.m. and a Prayer Service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services Saturday at the church.

A mass of Christian burial is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, June 7 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Detroit Lakes, with the Rev. Jerry Rogers officiating. Interment will take place at Holy Rosary Cemetery, Detroit Lakes.

The David-Donehower Funeral Home in Detroit Lakes has been serving the family.
