Documentary about Bemidji's history in mid 20th century planned next week
BEMIDJI – The locally produced documentary, Bemidji the Middle Years 1941-1961, will be showing at noon Tuesday and 7 p.m. Thursday at the Bemidji Public Library.
The documentary covers the time of the Pearl Harbor bombing to John F. Kennedy’s election, interviews, motion picture footage, original music and photographs that tell the story of Beltrami County residents during that time period.
The documentary is a co-production of the Beltrami County Historical Society and Gary Burger Video-Audio, and was made possible by the generous support of the George W. Neilson Foundation, Beltrami County, the Region 2 Arts Council, Pat Rilet and Natalie Roholt, H.B., Ina Roholt, and through participation of area residents.
All ages welcome. The event is co-sponsored by the Beltrami County Historical Society.
