Diane Engel: The Senior Center is rocking with activity
We don’t need no rocking chair; the Senior Activity Center is rocking with many different activities. The Senior Center is for active older adults who want to jazz up their retirement.
Thank you to everyone, volunteers, donors and customers, who made the Fall Craft Show a success. Thank you to the volunteers and the First City Singers who helped with our Veterans Tribute. Thank you to those who “Gave to the Max.” We appreciate your kindness.
The Senior Activity will have a Christmas Dance from 1:30 to 4 p.m. on Dec. 15 with a cover charge of $2.00. The Acoust Hicks band will be playing.
Two new hobbies/crafts will be taught each month. These are open to the public and the registration fee is $10 plus materials with the $10 fee going to the Senior Activity Center. Call Linda at 556-7888 or Winnie at 209-5456 for details and registration. Class size is limited.
You can have your Christmas gifts wrapped at the Paul Bunyan Mall starting Friday through Dec. 24. Donations for this service go to the Senior Activity Center and are greatly appreciated.
