DFL wasted time, money by flying around state

On May 19, the legislative leadership flew around the state to tell everyone that they had tried their hardest to balance the budget. Does that not seem hypocritical? Could they not have held one press conference?

I understand that it is customary for the legislative leadership to travel across the state after session in order to inform local constituencies about what happened in the Capitol; but this year we all know that they did not balance the budget -- do they really need to fly up to Bemidji (and several other cities and towns across Minnesota) to tell us in person?

When Ford and GM flew to Washington, lawmakers there were in an uproar. But who holds the Legislature accountable when they waste money that isn't even there?
