Detroit Lakes man identified as crash victim

HUNTER, N.D. — A Detroit Lakes native has been identified as the man who died Monday in a dirt bike crash near Hunter.

John J. Housholder, 45, was injured on a private dirt track while riding a dirt bike about 1 p.m. Monday, Capt. Mitch Burris of the Cass County Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday. Burris said Housholder died before he could be taken to a hospital.

He said the incident happened at a home owned by Jason D. Johnson. Burris said Housholder had ridden on the track at least one other time.
