Police Report The Bemidji Police Department responded to the following calls:

Suspicious 5:45 a.m. Wednesday, Taft Avenue Northeast. A 27-year-old man was arrested on charges of felony fifth-degree drug possession and possessing burglary tools.

Assault 1:22 a.m. Wednesday, 2900 block of Ridgeway Avenue Northwest. A 21-year-old man was arrested on charges of felony kidnapping, terroristic threats, second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon and illegal possession of a pistol or assault weapon.

Accident 10:13 p.m. Tuesday, intersection of Paul Bunyan Drive Northwest and Hannah Avenue Northwest. Officers responded to a three-vehicle accident with injuries. A 31-year-old woman was arrested on charges of felony criminal vehicular homicide or operation and child endangerment, as well as gross misdemeanor DWI

A 51-year-old man was arrested on charges of gross misdemeanor child endangerment.

Theft 10:02 p.m. Tuesday, 2000 block of Paul Bunyan Drive Northwest. Money was reported stolen from a purse.

7:47 a.m. Tuesday, 1600 block of 23rd Street Northwest. Items were stolen from a vehicle.

Violations/court orders 12:02 p.m. Tuesday, 1100 block of Paul Bunyan Drive Northwest. A 27-year-old registered sex offender was arrested for having contact with a minor in violation of his probation.

Sheriff’s Report The Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to the following calls:

Theft 1:49 p.m. Tuesday, 1900 block of 15th Street Northwest. A car’s ignition was damaged and someone went through the vehicle, but nothing was taken.

12:17 p.m. Tuesday, 100 block of Convenience Lane Southeast. Gas was reported stolen.

Accident 1:14 p.m. Tuesday, U.S. Highway 2 Northwest. A wheel fell off of a vehicle. A 27-year-old man was arrested on charges of gross misdemeanor DWI, driving after cancellation inimical to public safety and giving a police officer a false name.

Burglary 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, 8000 block of Irvine Avenue Northwest. A storage unit was burglarized.

Fire Report The Bemidji Fire Department responded to the following calls:

1:16 p.m. Tuesday, U.S. Highway 2 West. Firefighters responded to a motor vehicle accident.

4:50 p.m. Tuesday, intersection of Ironwood Lane Northwest and Page Lane Northwest. A grass fire was caused by fireworks.

10 p.m. Tuesday, 1100 block of Paul Bunyan Drive Northwest. Medical call.

10 p.m. Tuesday, intersection of Paul Bunyan Drive Northwest and Hannah Avenue Northwest. Firefighters responded to a motor vehicle accident.
