Daily arrests, police and fire report for July 16
Police Report The Bemidji Police Department responded to the following calls:
Assault 3:01 a.m. Tuesday, 2900 block of Ridgeway Avenue Northwest. Officers responded to a report of a domestic assault. A 24-year-old man allegedly assaulted a woman and took a child without permission. He was arrested on charges of felony kidnapping, gross misdemeanor domestic assault, child endangerment, fourth-degree assault and obstructing the legal process.
Theft 8:05 p.m. Monday, 400 block of Paul Bunyan Drive Northwest. A 28-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man were arrested on charges of felony second-degree methamphetamine sale after officers responded to a theft complaint.
Animal 12:19 p.m. Monday, 300 block of Miles Avenue Southeast. An officer responded to a dog running at large. The dog was shot because it charged the officer.
Burglary 7:56 a.m. Monday, 800 block of Industrial Park Drive Southeast. Copper was stolen from the Otter Tail Power Co. warehouse.
Property damage 6:19 a.m. Monday, 1111 Event Center Drive NE. A Sanford Center sign was damaged.
Sheriff’s Report The Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to the following calls:
Theft 6:57 p.m. Monday, 5800 block of Whistler Drive Northwest. A vehicle was reported stolen.6:22 p.m. Monday, 100 block of Convenience Lane Southwest. Gas was reported stolen.
Burglary 3:19 p.m. Monday, 19100 block of Hines Road Northwest. Deputies responded to a cabin burglary in Taylor Township.
Fire Report The Bemidji Fire Department responded to the following calls:9:31 a.m. Tuesday, Library Park. Medical call.10:54 a.m. Tuesday, 300 block of 23rd Street Northwest. A fire alarm was activated.
