Cubs and mom enjoy a fishy meal

This photo was taken south of Superior, Wis., by Dennis Archer recently. A sow bear with five cubs had found some fish entrails that Archer had placed in his yard. It's not common for a sow to have five cubs, said Martha Minchak, Department of Natural Resources assistant area wildlife manager in Duluth. "It's obviously a very healthy sow, probably in her prime reproductive years," Minchak said.
