Crow Wing County investigation results in four drug arrests
Crow Wing County Sheriff Todd Dahl reported Monday the completion of a 15-month investigation into the sale and distribution of methamphetamine in the Crow Wing County area. Drug investigators from The Lakes Area Drug Investigative Division, along with agents from the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and North Central Drug Task Force, executed three search warrants Oct. 14 at residences in the Garrison area. As a result of this investigation, four individuals were arrested on felony drug charges involving the sale and distribution of methamphetamine.
Arrested were a 41-year-old and 42-year-old Garrison, Minn., men; a 48-year-old Deerwood, Minn., man; and a 37-year-old man with no known address.
The investigation involved numerous law enforcement agencies assisting in the long-term investigation, which resulted in the seizure of nearly two pounds of methamphetamine along with the seizure of numerous vehicles, and firearms. Dahl estimated the street value of the methamphetamine at more than $30,000.
The arrested individuals were taken into federal custody where they face numerous charges of distribution of methamphetamine and felon in possession of firearms.
Other law enforcement agencies assisting in the investigation include Breezy Point Police Department, Brainerd Police Department, Baxter Police Department, BCA, ATF and North Central Drug Task Force.
