CROSS COUNTRY: BHS opens season in Moorhead
MOORHEAD — The Bemidji High School boys cross country team took first place and the girls team took second place in their season-opening meet at the Moorhead Invitational.
“It was a good first meet for us,” BHS head coach Ryan Aylesworth said. “We had a good showing and I’m happy with where the kids are at.”
The boys won the seven-team meet with a score of 37; hosts Moorhead were second with 40.
In the girls meet, where there were just five complete teams, the Lumberjacks scored 50 while Willmar had 22 to win the race.
