Crime report for Aug. 18-19
The Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to the following calls on Monday:
12:12 p.m. A 34-year-old man was arrested on a Cass County warrant on the 1100 block of August Drive NE.
12:44 p.m. A theft of copper wire was reported from Knife River on the 5100 block of Highway 2 W.
8:27 a.m. Deputies responded to a burglary complaint on the 2100 block of Balsam Road NW.
8:50 a.m. A metro area resident reported a break-in or burglary at a cabin on the 37200 block of Benville Road NW in Grygla.
1:04 p.m. Deputies responded to a burglary complaint on the 26700 block of Manitou Road NW in Shevlin.
The Bemidji Police Department responded to the following calls on Monday:
7:24 a.m. A 22-year-old man was arrested for possession of a controlled substance following a call of a suspicious person in a parked motor vehicle on the 200 block of Paul Bunyan Drive NW.
9:19 a.m. A 64-year-old man was arrested following a request to remove two individuals sleeping behind a business on Beltrami Ave. NW.
10:26 a.m. Equipment was stolen from a boat on the 3600 block of Laurel Drive NW.
11:00 a.m. Chairs were stolen from the 400 block of Gould Ave. NE.
2:44 p.m. A 24-year-old woman was cited following an accident on the 400 block of Bemidji Ave. N in which a vehicle failed right of way due to driver being on a cell phone and hit another vehicle. Driver cited for inattentive driving. Other driver taken to emergency room.
5:12 p.m. A semi truck struck a traffic light on 1st Street East and Paul Bunyan Drive S. Minnesota State Patrol took over scene.
2:26 p.m. A 50-year-old man was arrested for probation violation on the 600 block of Beltrami Ave. NW.
9:00 p.m. A 68-year-old woman was arrested for violation of a no drink order on the 1000 block of Paul Bunyan Drive S.
2:40 p.m. A 32-year-old man was arrested on a warrant following an unfounded 911 hang up call on the 100 block of Gemmel Ave. SW.
10:16 p.m. A 28-year-old man was arrested on a warrant on Irvine Ave. NW and Anne Street NW.
11:52 a.m. A 22-year-old woman turned herself in on a warrant at the law enforcement center.

4:32 a.m. A 22-year-old man was arrested for a no drink violation and two juveniles were arrested for minor consumption on the 2800 block of Ridgeway Ave. NW.
