Court Report: Sentencings for May 8 and 12

The following cases were heard on May 8, 2014 by Beltrami District Judge Shari R. Schluchter:

Derek John Klobucher, 32, of Princeton was sentenced for second-degree DWI to 365 days in the Beltrami County Jail of which 364 days are stayed for four years. Klobucher served and was credited with one day time served. He has been placed on four years supervised probation and must pay a $1,000 fine. Klobucher has been sentenced to electronic home monitoring for 30 days within 45 days.

The following cases were heard on May 12, 2014 by Beltrami District Judge Paul T. Benshoof:

Quenesha Shavon Campbell, 27, of Bemidji was sentenced for third degree DWI and fourth-degree assault to 365 days in the Beltrami County Jail of which 355 days are stayed for three years. Campbell must serve 10 days and has been credited with three days time served. Campbell has been placed on three years supervised probation for the DWI charge and must pay a $400 fine which may be done as community service. Campbell was sentenced to 365 days in the Beltrami County Jail with 355 days stayed for two years for the assault charge, concurrent with her DWI charge. She has been placed on two years supervised probation and must pay a $50 fine.

David Joseph Fisher, 40, of Hines was sentenced for fifth-degree assault and obstructing legal process to 90 days in the Beltrami County Jail of which 45 days are stayed for one year on the assault charge. Fisher must serve 45 days and has been credited for 30 days time served. He has been placed on one year supervised probation and must pay a $150 fine. Fisher was sentenced to 365 days in the Beltrami County Jail for the obstructing charge, of which 320 days are stayed for two years. He must serve 45 days and has been credited with 30 days time served. Fisher must pay an additional $300 fine.

Michael James McNaughton IV, 18, of Rayne, La., was sentenced for contributing to need for child protection or services to 365 days in the Beltrami County Jail of which 344 days are stayed for two years. McNaughton must serve 21 days and has been credited with 14 days time served. He has been placed on two years court probation and must pay a $300 fine which may be done by community service.

Sabrina Lovely Yanez, 21, of Bemidji was sentenced for giving peace officer a false name to 365 days in the Beltrami County Jail of which 359 days are stayed for two years. Yanez must serve and was credited with six days time served. She has been placed on two years court probation and must pay a $300 fine which may be done as community service or sentence to serve.
