The following cases were heard on May 30, 2014 by Beltrami District Judge Paul T. Benshoof:

Anthony John Larose, 24, of Bemidji was sentenced for felony no contact order violation to 30 months in the Minnesota Correctional Facility in St. Cloud. Larose has been credited with 50 days time served. He must pay a $50 fine.

The following cases were heard on June 6, 2014 by Beltrami District Judge Shari R. Schluchter:

Joshua Lee Seitz, 34, of Bemidji was sentenced for first-degree felony burglary to 33 months in the Minnesota Correctional Facility in St. Cloud which is stayed for 20 years. Seitz must serve 180 days in the Beltrami County Jail and may do so on work release if eligible. He has been credited with 66 days time served. Seitz has been placed on 20 years supervised probation. He must pay a $1,000 fine.

Seitz was sentenced for domestic assault to 365 days in the Beltrami County Jail of which 299 days are stayed for two years. He must serve and has been credited with 66 days time served. Seitz has been placed on two years supervised probation. He must pay a $200 fine.

Seitz was sentenced for financial transaction card fraud to 15 months in the Minnesota Correctional Facility in St. Cloud which is stayed for five years. He must serve 96 days in the Beltrami County Jail and has been credited with 64 days time served. Seitz has been placed on five years supervised probation and must pay a $1,000 fine.

The following cases were heard on June 9, 2014 by Beltrami District Judge John G. Melbye:

Russell Anthony Coyle, 57, of Kelliher was sentenced for driving after cancellation to 365 days in the Beltrami County Jail of which 355 days are stayed for two years. Coyle must serve 10 days and may do so on sentence to serve if eligible. Coyle has been credited with eight days time served. He has been placed on two years court probation and must pay a $750 fine.

Jordan Ray Henderson, 18, of Bemidji was sentenced for felony aiding and abetting theft to 30 days in the Beltrami County Jail. He has been credited with 20 days time served. Henderson has been placed on five years supervised probation. He must pay a 41,000 fine.

Richard Franklin Jackson, 44, of Bemidji was sentenced for third-degree DWI to 365 days in the Beltrami County Jail of which 355 days are stayed for three years. Jackson must serve 10 days. He has been placed on three years court probation. Jackson must pay a $750 fine which may be done through community service.

Richard Lee Jones, 62, of Blackduck was sentenced for escape to 365 days in the Beltrami County Jail of which 335 days are stayed for two years. Jones must serve 30 days and has been credited with 20 days time served. He has been placed on two years unsupervised probation and must pay a $750 fine which may be done through community service.

Donald Henry Kahlstorf Jr., 37, of Park Rapids was sentenced for driving after cancellation to 365 days in the Beltrami County Jail of which 355 days are stayed for two years. Kahlstorf must serve 10 days and may do so on work release if eligible. He has been credited with two days time served. Kahlstorf has been placed on two years court probation and must pay a $500 fine.

Harold Elmer Kolkin Jr., 53, of Cass Lake was sentenced for driving after cancellation to 365 days in the Beltrami County Jail of which 355 days are stayed for two years. Kolkin must serve 10 days and has been credited with seven days time served. He has been placed on two years court probation and must pay a $750 fine which may be done by way of community service.

Robin Lee Lussier, 25, of Red Lake was sentenced for fifth-degree assault to 365 days in the Beltrami County Jail of which 275 days are stayed for two years. Lussier must serve 90 days and may do so on sentence to serve if eligible. He has been credited with 30 days time served. Lussier has been placed on two years supervised probation. He must pay a $750 fine which may be done by way of community service.

James Manuel Parkhurst Sr., 58, of Red Lake was granted a stay of adjudication for driving after cancellation. Parkhurst has been placed on one year court probation upon successful completion of which will result in a dismissal of the charge.

Lane Robert Strandell, 27, of Nevis was sentenced for third-degree DWI to 365 days in the Beltrami County Jail of which 355 days are stayed for three years. He must serve 10 days and has been credited with two days time served. Strandell has been placed on three years court probation and must pay a $500 fine.

Richard James Swan, 25, of Redby was sentenced for criminal vehicular operation to 365 days in the Beltrami County Jail of which 335 days are stayed for six years. Swan must serve 30 days and may do so on work release if eligible. Swan has been placed on six years supervised probation. He must pay a $1,000 fine.
