The following cases were heard July 14 by Beltrami District Judge Robert B. Danforth:

Elizabeth Marie Howard, 40, of Bemidji was sentenced for check forgery to 365 days in the Beltrami County Jail, of which 335 days are stayed for two years. Howard must serve 30 days. She has been placed on two years supervised probation and must pay a $500 fine which may be done by community service.

Robert William Lussier, 26, of Redby was sentenced for child endangerment and fifth-degree possession of marijuana. Lussier was granted a stay of adjudication for the marijuana charge. He must serve 30 days in the Beltrami County Jail and may do so on work release if eligible. Lussier has been placed on five years supervised probation upon successful completion, of which will result in a dismissal of the charge.

Lussier has been sentenced to 365 days in the Beltrami County Jail for the child endangerment charge. His sentence has been stayed for two years. He has been placed on two years supervised probation.

Shawn Joseph Strong, 23, of Redby was sentenced for giving peace officer false information and possession of shoplifting gear. Strong was granted a stay of adjudication on the shoplifting charge. He was sentenced to 49 days in the Beltrami County Jail and was credited with 49 days time served. Strong has been placed on four years supervised probation, upon successful completion of which will result in a dismissal of the shoplifting charge.

Strong was sentenced to 90 days in the Beltrami County Jail for the false information charge of which 41 days are stayed for one year. Strong must serve and was credited with 49 days time served. He has been placed on one year supervised probation for the false information charge.

Denise Marie Whitefeather, 20, of Red Lake was sentenced for fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle and third-degree DWI. Whitefeather was sentenced to 30 days in the Beltrami County Jail for the fleeing charge. She has been credited with 20 days time served. Whitefeather has been placed on four years supervised probation and must pay a $1,000 fine, which may be done by community service.

Whitefeather has been sentenced to 365 days in the Beltrami County Jail for the DWI charge of which 335 days are stayed for four years. She must serve 30 days and has been credited with 20 days time served. Whitefeather has been placed on four years supervised probation.
