Sentencings

The following cases were heard on Dec. 6 by Beltrami District Judge John G. Melbye:

Todd Douglas Miller, Sr., 32, of Red Lake was sentenced for fifth-degree drug possession of methamphetamine to a year and one day in the Minnesota Correctional Facility in St. Cloud, which has been stayed for 10 years. Miller must serve 180 days in the Beltrami County Jail and has been credited 57 days time served. He was granted a furlough on Dec. 9 to enroll in school and may be granted furloughs for school if he qualifies. Miller has been placed on 10 years supervised probation and must pay a $1,000 fine of which $750 will be stayed if he gets a college degree in one year.

Jonathan Tyler Cloud, 22, of Bemidji was sentenced for fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle and third-degree DWI. Cloud was sentenced to 13 months in the Minnesota Correctional Facility in St. Cloud for the fleeing charge, which has been stayed for three years. He must serve 120 days in the Beltrami County Jail and has been credited for 17 days time served. Cloud has been placed on three years supervised probation and has been granted furloughs to attend the Steps to Freedom program and BIP program. Cloud must pay a $1,000 fine. He was also sentenced to 365 days in the Beltrami County Jail for the DWI charge, which has been stayed for three years. Cloud has been placed on three years supervised probation and a $1,000 fine has been stayed.

The following cases were heard Dec. 9 by Beltrami District Judge Shari R. Schluchter:

Willie Earl Riley, 47, of Minneapolis was sentenced for domestic assault to 365 days in the Beltrami County Jail of which 332 days are stayed for two years. Riley must serve 33 days. He has been placed on two years court probation and must pay a $500 fine.

Daryl Richard Aderman, 30, of Bemidji was granted a stay of adjudication for driving after cancellation. Aderman has been placed on one year court probation upon successful completion of which shall result in dismissal of the charge.

Kristine Marie Chambers, 31, of Minnetonka was sentenced for fifth-degree drug possession to 28 days in the Beltrami County Jail. Chambers must serve 28 days and has been credited for 19 days time served. She has been placed on five years supervised probation upon successful completion of which shall result in a dismissal of the charge.

Paula Agashii Larose, 24, of Cass Lake was sentenced for interfering with an emergency telephone call to 365 days in the Beltrami County Jail of which 325 days are stayed for two years. Larose must serve 40 days and has been credited with 27 days time served. Larose has been placed on two years supervised probation and must pay a $750 fine.

Jonathan Lee Mountain, 31, of Red Lake was sentenced for second-degree DWI to 365 days in the Beltrami County Jail of which 355 days are stayed for four years. Mountain must serve 10 days and has been credited for two days time served. He has been placed on four years supervised probation.

Autumn Leaf Lagarde, 38, of Bemidji was sentenced for fourth-degree DWI to 90 days in the Beltrami County Jail and must pay a $50 fine. Lagarde was also sentenced for fifth-degree drug possession to 94 days in the Beltrami County Jail. She has been placed on five years supervised probation upon successful completion of which will result in a dismissal of the drug charge.

William Clifford Jones, 20, of Cass Lake was sentenced for issuing a dishonored check to 15 months in the Minnesota Correctional Facility in St. Cloud all of which has been stayed for five years. Jones must serve 109 days in the Beltrami County Jail and has been placed on five years supervised probation. Jones must pay a $1,000 fine.

Delores Silverrain Robinson, 21, of Bemidji has been sentenced for fifth-degree drug possession to 28 days in the Beltrami County Jail. Robinson has been placed on five years supervised probation upon successful completion of which shall result in a dismissal of the charge.

Dakota Kalob Medicine, 22, of Bemidji has been sentenced for issuing a dishonored check to 19 months in the Minnesota Correctional Facility in St. Cloud all of which has been stayed for five years. Medicine must serve 225 days in the Beltrami County Jail and has been placed on five years supervised probation. He must pay a $1,000 fine.

The following cases were heard Dec. 10 by Beltrami District Judge John G. Melbye:

Ashley Brun, 29, of Red Lake was sentenced for third-degree DWI to 365 days in the Beltrami County Jail of which 350 days are stayed for three years. Brun must serve 15 days and may do so on work release if eligible. She has been placed on three years court probation and must pay a $500 fine.
