The county board will meet in a 3 p.m. work session and a 5 p.m. regular meeting. Both meetings will be in the County Administration Building, 701 Minnesota Ave. NW.

The work session will feature a presentation from Greg Morris, the district ranger for the Blackduck District of the Chippewa National Forest. Morris has requested an opportunity to update the board about activities at Camp Rabideau, a former a Civilian Conservation Corps camp located about six miles south of Blackduck. The camp is designated as a National Historic Landmark.

Also on the agenda for the work session is an update from Dave Hengel, executive director of Greater Bemidji, which formerly was known as the Joint Economic Development Commission.

Commissioners are expected during the regular meeting to consider hiring Springsted Incorporated of St. Paul to lead the search for a new county administrator.

Longtime Administrator Tony Murphy resigned in April effective today.
