Chiropractic Sport and Spinal Rehab has increased its hours of serving patients with the addition of Dr. Grant Coauette to its staff of chiropractic physicians.

Coauette, from Crookston, graduated from Northwestern Health Sciences University and obtained a license to practice chiropractic in Minnesota this spring. He is a graduate of the University of North Dakota with a degree in biology whose interest in a chiropractic career started as a teenager.

"I had an experience with a chiropractor when I was injured playing soccer in high school," Coauette remembers. "The treatment brought me back to the playing field more quickly than expected. I knew I wanted to go into a health care field, and chiropractic's approach to wellness without drugs and surgery was a good match for me."

He said Sport and Spinal Rehab is also a good match for his background and approach to health care. Coauette joins Erickson and Dr. Eric Levesque as chiropractic physicians. Four chiropractic assistants are also on staff.

Hours are now 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays; 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursdays; and 8 a.m. to noon on Fridays.

Located in Bemidji's Technology Park, Chiropractic Sport and Spinal Rehab is the only area clinic offering computerized spinal decompression therapy. The clinic is also certified to complete physicals as well as DOT drug screening and testing.
