Coaching clinic April 15 in Red Lake
A series of 13 spring basketball coaching clinics in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Illinois, headed by former Cass Lake-Bena boys basketball coach Dan Ninham, begins April 15 at Red Lake.
The clinics will include on-court demonstrations with players and clinicians who have been successful in a variety of high school and collegiate levels.
Most of the events also include three-hour high school player development sessions.
The Minnesota clinic schedule includes:
April 15: Red Lake. Clinicians scheduled to be Scott Davenport (Bellarmine University, Kent.), Steve Prohm (Murray State, Kent.), Larry McKenzie, Academy of Holy Angels, Minn.)
April 28: Cass Lake. Clinicians scheduled to be Bill Lewitt (Northwestern State, La.), Dennis Cox (Clayton State, Ga.), Kevin Kiernan (Mater Dei High School, Cal.)
April 29: Red Lake. Clinicians scheduled to be Tahnee Robinson (Israel Professional League)
May 5: Red Lake. Clinicians scheduled to be Mike Young (Wofford College, S.C.), John Gallagher (University of Hartford, Conn.), Angie Hembree (Norcross High School, Ga.)
May 6: Red Lake. Clinicians scheduled to include Michael Peck (Findlay Prep, Nev.)
May 19: Red Lake. Clinicians scheduled to include Joe Arbitello and Bob Mackay (Christ the King High School, N.Y.)
May 26: Red Lake. Clinicians scheduled to include Matt Rama (Red Cloud High School, S.D.)
June 9: Richfield. Clinicians scheduled to include Jim Hayford (Eastern Washington University), Norm Persin (Oak Hill High School, Ohio), Larry McKenzie (Academy of Holy Angels)
June 16: Red Lake. Clinicians scheduled to include Matthew Driscoll (University of North Florida)
June 23: Red Lake. Clinicians scheduled to include Danny Henderson (Flower Mound Marcus High School, Texas)
