Clarence J. "Clink" Crosby, 83, of Bemidji, died Jan. 2, 2009, at Guardian Angels by the Lake in Elk River, Minn.
A celebration of his life will be held in the summer at his former residence on Lake Andrusia.
Dare's Funeral Home of Elk River is assisting the family with arrangements.
He served in the United States Navy during World War II. He married Jean Parenteau. He worked at Northwestern Bell for more than 30 years, retiring in 1984. He and his wife owned and operated Birchwood Estates on Lake Andrusia until 2000.
He is survived by his children, Connie (Bill) Bish of Livermore, Calif., Craig (Gloria) Crosby of Moorhead, Minn., Kevin (Kerri) Crosby of Eden Prairie, Minn., Catherine (Brad) Erickson of Bemidji and Beth Merwin (Jeff Smith) of Zimmerman, Minn.; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a sister, Ann Johnson of Lomita, Calif. and a brother, Clinton "Bud" (Beverly) of Milwaukee, Wis.
He was preceded in death by his wife and a brother, Raymond "Butch" Crosby.
Memorials are preferred.
