The first phase of annexation, per the annexation agreement adopted by the city and Bemidji and Northern townships, is possible in 2010.

The work session has been set to allow councilors the opportunity to learn about and discuss annexation-related issues, such as the costs involved.

Following the work session, the council will convene as the Bemidji Economic Development Authority to consider authorization of a plat and Planned Unit Development for the south shore redevelopment.
