Cinnamon black bear pays visit to home near Laporte

Mark Lewer captured this photo of a cinnamon black bear that wandered through a yard near Laporte Wednesday at about 5:45 p.m.

The bear stayed for about 15 minutes, surveying the area for a possible meal. Bird feeders in the yard were about 10 feet off the ground so bears can't reach them easily.
