Church caved in to voice of special interest group
This is in response to your editorial in the Editorial Roundup section of the Sept. 19 Pioneer.
You stated that the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America's decision to allow the calling of gay clergy to lead in its churches to be an act of courage. I believe that this was more an act of caving in to the voice of a special interest group rather than an act of courage.
I believe that those pastors, church leaders and congregations that stay true to God's Word are the ones who are really demonstrating acts of courage. I agree that we are blessed in this country to have matters of faith as a personal choice. We need to be very careful when we make those choices.
