'A Christmas Carol' starts Thursday at Chief Theatre

In a scene from the new adaptation of the timeless classic "A Christmas Carol," Charles Dickens (Mark Christensen) stands to the left of Tiny Tim (Trevor Shaw) while Tim's father Bob Cratchit (Chuck Deeter) works at his desk in the office of Scrooge and Marley. Ebenezer Scrooge (Mark Fulton) is taunted by the ghost of Christmas Present (Julie Kaiser) because of his hardhearted view of charity and good will toward men. Bemidji Community Theater and the Paul Bunyan Playhouse will present the play with performances at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday and Dec. 8 and 9, and 2 p.m. Dec. 11 at the Chief Theatre.
