Chippewa Triathlon opens registration

CASS LAKE - This year's Chippewa Triathlon will start at 7 a.m. June 9 at Cass Lake Elementary School. Registration for the event is now open.

The triathlon will follow the historic "Pike Bay Connection" in the Chippewa National Forest.

The event includes a 14-mile canoe, 29-mile mountain bike and 7-mile trail run. Divisions will be solo, double, relay, 16 and under, competition and touring.

To register, visit the triathlon website at www.paulbunyan.net/users/bjiski/triathlon. Registration fees are $45 through April 15, $50 through June 1 and $55 through the day before competition. Children 16 and under as of June 8 pay a registration fee of $15. Registration will not be available on race day.
