Chase Joel Scheldrup
Chase Joel Scheldrup, 8 months old, of Blackduck, died Wednesday, April 29, 2009, at his home.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First Presbyterian Church in Blackduck with the Rev. Donald Bump officiating. A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. today at the Cease Family Funeral Home in Blackduck, and one hour prior to services at the church.
The pallbearers will be Justin McLaren, Nick Porath, Timmy Freeman and Tom Mahowald.
The honorary pallbearers will be Jeremy Scheldrup, Chaz Scheldrup, Jenna Cornell, Nicolas, Conner and Courtnee Porath.
He was born Aug. 21, 2008, to Chad Scheldrup and Kasey McLaren in Bemidji. He was a happy baby, always full of smiles. He liked jumping in his jumper, crawling around, playing with his kitty, pulling hair and watching Sponge Bob. He loved to bounce and swing, going for walks and car rides. He loved life and lived it to the fullest, even though it was much too short.
He is survived by his parents, Kasy McLaren and Chad Scheldrup of Blackduck; grandmothers, Dorry McLaren and Mary Scheldrup, both of Blackduck; grandfathers, Eddie Scheldrup of Blackduck and David McLaren of Tampa Bay, Fla. and Tom Mahowald of Blackduck; uncles, an aunt and cousins.
He is preceded in death by all of his great-grandparents and an infant sibling.
