Chamber-Resource Center team up on brochure
The Blackduck Chamber of Commerce is teaming with the Blackduck Family Resource Center to develop a visitors/relocation guide representing the Blackduck area.
Ideally, this guide will be representative of all of the businesses, educational resources, faith-based organizations and community support systems that make this a wonderful place to live.
If you would like your organization or business included in this document, make sure to get your information to Helen Bechtold at the Blackduck Resource Center, 835-5768 or e-mail her at email@example.com, as soon as possible. The deadline for getting your information in for this project is July 20.
All information MUST be submitted electronically!
Information for the final document will be copied and pasted into the format. If you do not have an e-mail account and you have to store the data to transport it; you must either burn it onto a CD or use a thumb drive - none of the computers to be used can accommodate floppy discs.
If you do not have a computer available to you, the Blackduck Community Library has computer stations for public use. Their summer hours are 1-6 p.m. Tuesdays, 9 a.m-1 p.m. Wednesdays, 1-7 p.m. Thursdays, 1-6 p.m. Fridays and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturdays.
Photos are welcome and encouraged. Photos of customers, storefronts, merchandise and/or staff make inviting statements. All photo entries MUST be sent electronically either as a Jpg. or imbedded into a Word document. Photos may need to be resized. If you have an old photo that you would like to scan and send, you may want to have it done elsewhere.
Staff of the Resource Center WILL NOT develop written descriptions for your business or event. If you want something detailing some aspect of a photo you are submitting, an event that you host or your business; you have to submit the description electronically.
Your photo or written entry may be excluded or shortened as not all photos and written entries may fit into the limited space available in this guide. In addition, the quality of photo and/or content may not useable. The group reserves the right to select photos and written items based on need and space.
Remember, the deadline for submitting information to the Resource Center is July 20 and all information and photos must be sent electronically.
